Big day for me in this 75 Hard journey — I just crossed the halfway mark.
When I started, honestly, part of me didn’t think I’d actually finish all 75 days. I figured maybe I’d give it a week or so and see what happened. But the more days I stacked up, the more confident I got. Now I know without a doubt — I’m finishing this thing.
So far:
76 workouts (38 of them outside — some in 90°+ heat, others in straight-up pouring rain)
400+ pages read
Down just over 10 lbs from sticking to my calorie deficit
I post these updates partly to hold myself accountable, but also because maybe it’ll get someone else off the couch to do something for themselves.
This has been more than a fitness challenge. It’s been a discipline challenge. It’s proven to me that getting the small things right every day, and not negotiating with your goals, adds up to big results.

The impact of small changes in your eating. Plate on the left is 288 total calories while the plate on the right is 790! Difference is low calorie bread vs standard, low fat mayo vs regular, sweet potato chips vs Lays, Diet Coke vs regular Coke. Think if you were able to shave 500 calories per meal, that’s 1,500 calories PER DAY! These small changes add up to big results over time. @loseitapp

I might’ve even been sucking in for that picture. Months (even years) of poor eating habits, inconsistent workouts, and not checking in with myself mentally added up. Eventually, I didn’t even recognize the guy in the mirror.

Climbing out of that rut isn’t easy. It takes time- probably more than it took to fall into it. But the climb out is worth it. Every bit of discipline, every better choice, every small step forward matters.

Do it for yourself. Do it for your family. You’re worth the effort.

Hiked on the Appalachian Trail from Clingmans Dome to Newfoundland Gap in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park this weekend with my dad. 8 miles with 3500ft elevation change with some wet conditions. Tough but rewarding experience and look forward to checking out other sections of the trail in the future.
